Network Firewalls

Web Application Firewalls

The experienced team members at Positive Convexity have designed, built and managed various Web Application Firewalls from vendors such as F5, Citrix and Imperva. While all the vendors have simple "flip a switch" implementations, these do not provide the levels of security expected and required in today's environments. We know how to tune the application firewalls for the applications being run by working with developers and operations teams to learn how the applications work and the best ways to protect them.

IDS/IPS

The experienced team members at Positive Convexity have designed, built and managed IDS/IPS systems from Open Source implementations such as SNORT to vendor supported systems from Cisco and others. We know how to tune the alerts and blocks to avoid waking up the operations staff in the middle of the night or blocking legitimate traffic due to false positives.

Advanced Authentication and Federation

The experienced team members at Positive Convexity have designed and built advanced authentication frameworks for some of the largest companies in the United States including major credit reporting agencies to access to sensitive corporate resources using various SAML cloud providers such as Ping, Okta, Azure and AWS as well as in-house solutions using F5, Citrix and Open Source implementations. We are also experienced with AD Federation using Azure and AWS. From OAuth and JWT to the use of Google and Facebook authentication integration, we can build a solution that works.
